The quote reads, “pain is so effective, because it stops you from doing things the system believes are dangerous.”

Fun fact, the quote came from one of my Massage and Bodywork magazines; it’s referring to the ways the body uses pain signals to discourage us from doing something that will further hurt us. It feels awfully relevant to the state of this country, too.
